Freelance violinist based in London

Catherine is a freelance musician based in London where she combines a career of performing and teaching. Catherine is the solo violinist for The Moth performing at the Union Chapel and the Bridge Theatre. She has toured with: pop artist James, ABBA The Show, Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds and the Karl Jenkins Orchestra. As an orchestral musician, Catherine regularly performs with the London Philharmonic Orchestra performing at London’s Royal Festival Hall and concert halls around the UK. She has been solo violinist and soprano for Royal Shakespeare Company in a six month production of Titus Andronicus

Catherine has performed in some of London’s top venues including The Shard, 20 Fenchurch Street’s Sky Garden, The Union Chapel, Islington, the O2 arena, Wembley Arena, The Royal Albert Hall and York Minster. Catherine has performed for a wide variety of private events including weddings, proposals, soirees and family occasions.

Catherine has recorded for television, film, advertisements, chart pop hits and CD’s and has recorded at Abbey Road Studios. She is happy to arrange or improvise a violin part and is able to record remotely for your project. Contact Catherine for a quote.

As a teacher, Catherine teaches violin and viola at Centre for Young Musicians on Saturdays and coaches on NLMS Music Summer School as well as teaching individuals at her home in Mile End (E3), East London.
